Yacht Visitors 2025 – info

Welcome to the Isle of Rona

You have 8 hours of free WiFi. The password for our WiFi is ashore in the Mooring Box or in the building at the top of the pier.

The wifi service to visitors is Rona Public there is a good 4g signal on the Island sometimes in the bay with some providers, but better in higher locations.

At the moment the internet may be on between 9am until 6pm, every day.
Unfortunately demand on our Mainland supplied internet is high in the evening and we cannot have multiple users then.

You should have landed on this page and it is here for your information, please read our terms and conditions for usage.

You have free usage for 8 Hours for each day, from when you login (or until 6pm). We are currently working on improving the internet service on Rona.

Please pay Mooring fees (£20 per night) on shore at the Mooring box on the pier or as soon as possible over our wifi or by using 4g.

We record every yacht using our moorings and expect everyone to pay.

Produce: Our main produce is Venison and we will have a full offer with fresh (frozen) in season venison from the 1st July this year. But in the meantime we have burgers, a few steaks and roasts, or what is left. There is an honesty box and produce in the Bothy porch area.

Landing: The pontoon is used by many, the East facing side is reserved for dinghies. The front for our ferry and the charter boats who use it regularly. We like to keep it clear at all other times just in case we need the Lifeboat.

Showers and Laundry: During Covid we withdrew the showers and laundry facility. Since then it is apparent that we do not have the resource to offer this service any longer. There are many Marinas up and down the coast that are more geared up to offer this and at a cost that is affordable.

Walks: There are walks all over the Island, follow the signs, Church Cave is a bit of scramble now that the post and rails have gone but doable.

There is a good path South, the rest of our paths and walks are a bit off piste but no problem. Dogs on Leads at all times, nesting birds and Red deer calves are not used to disturbance.

Access: We welcome the right to roam but do ask that visitors respect the areas such as our cottages, out buildings and our properties unless the signs say open.

Security: We have CCTV on the Island.

Moorings: We have 5 moorings, £20 per night, if you are reading this here are the BACS details for payment:
