Hi Folks, Well it has been a calm day, a totally unexpected Christmas Eve!!!!! After the Gales. But Hey Ho, 4pm it kicked off again so who knows.
Anyway, to-day I have had quite a few emails from folks who follow the blog and we have to say thank you for the Christmas emails and your best wishes, they are very much appreciated.
Sometimes we wonder what people think about our life out here on Rona and we just try to give a flavour of ‘What a wonderful life we have’!!!! it is funny sometimes for Lorraine and myself to think, ‘How did we get here’! But here we are. Hopefully for a while yet.
In 13 years here the seasons have changed, hopefully it is just a cycle and it will return to the normal, but we are not hopeful. We are just happy to have had ‘normal’ winters here over the years and to hope one day they will return, in the meantime we just wait to see what happens next.
All the best to all the Rona people we know, we wish you a happy, healthy, prosperous 2016 and we look forward to seeing you all again sometimes soon. Not all at once please!!!!!!!
Merry Christmas,
Bill and Lorraine XX
Ps: Because of the weather, holidays in Germany and weather beyond our control, Christmas cards took a back seat this year, but we will catch up by letter or email.
Hope you both have a great Xmas & New Year. Love following your adventures! Used to live in Trotternish – Connista – way back in mists of time. Keeps me up to date with things up thata way. Now in France after years in northern Sweden. Know what you mean about weather!
Dear Bill and Lorraine.
Wishing you both a very happy and peaceful Christmas.
I’m currently in the south of England, visiting family. Quite glad I’m missing the worst of the storms.
Think I’ve had enough for one year !!!!
Thinking of you and very best wishes.
Castaway Claire. X
and a merry Christmas to you too … thanks for the blog, I always enjoy reading and it’s such a contrast to my life in London
